Just before he passed away in December , I managed to have a final conversation with him. His reply was so sweet, words which I will never forget: he told me that he simply did not want me to have a miserable life growing up, because back when he young, there were no positive gay role models at all. He just wanted me to be happy in life. I told him I was, and he smiled. We made amends and said our goodbyes.

Our room didn't have air-conditioning, but had a nice terrace where we had some drinks that we took there from the bar. Breakfast was very good. Staff was very friendly. Their English was truly great, especially for a Frenchman. We had a lovely room with a spectacular view on a lovely forest. There even was a guarded parking space. The room had two Relais Fasthotel Lens.
It's close to Arras as wel so for going to the Main Square festival you can have a good hotel. If you don't like to take breakfast there are plenty of shops to get some food Fletcher Wellness-Hotel Stadspark. We checked in, there was a sign at the reception not to set the airco below 20 or it would break, next to that a sign that the 90 degree sauna broke amd was out of Hotel Le Monte Cristo.
