Yes, the service is slow but the beer is poured into a glass in front of you by the landlady who didn't seem to be in any rush at all. A few people left but were soon replaced by others eager to check out this bar. There was a mix of locals and curious beer tourists like myself. I returned the next day at about 5pm and sat at a table at the back of the bar. Again I spent over 10 minutes looking at the beer menu and when the landlady came to take my order she told me that particular beer was out of stock.
So I spent another 5 minutes looking through the menu before settling on a Grimbergen Cuvee de L'Ermitage. Now, I've had Grimbergen Blonde and Bruin before but had never even heard of this Grimbergen beer which is why I had to try it.
I could easily have spent much longer here but I had a concert to go to at the Trix, but I'll definitely return to this wonderful place. If you like rare beer from breweries you have never heard of then I suggest you visit Kulminator if you ever happen to pass through Antwerp. Ok so this place is pretty kooky even by Belgian standards.

We arrived to find the owners, an old couple, sitting reading their papers but the lady served us and was very friendly. The beer list is incredible, so many aged and unusual beers. The decor looks as though it hasn't changed for years after awhile the owner got up from his paper and went around to wind his cuckoo clocks! This is a real gem and still right in the centre of Antwerp. Totally worth checking out for a unique experience.
